1Who we are

NRM Textile Lounge (“NRM”, “we”, “us”) is an apparel buying and product development house based in Dhaka, with hubs in London and Montreal. Denim & Textile Sourcing Co. is a brand name under which NRM carries out its sourcing work, and this policy applies to it in the same way.

NRM Textile Lounge is a sole proprietorship registered in Bangladesh, owned and operated by Mohammad Saifur Rahman. Its registered address is KA-193, Kuril Member Bari, Vatara, Dhaka 1229, Bangladesh, and its VAT Business Identification Number (BIN) is 000020885-0101.

NRM is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Our office is at House 232/A, Road 16, 5th Floor, New DOHS, Mohakhali, Dhaka 1206, Bangladesh. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@nrm-lounge.com.

2What we collect

2.1Information you give us. The contact form asks for your full name, email address and message, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number and the name of your organisation. If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we receive what you include in your message together with your email address or phone number.

2.2Information recorded automatically. The servers that host this website keep a record of each request made to it. The record includes your IP address, the type and version of your browser, your operating system, the page requested, the page you came from, and the date and time. We use these records only to keep the website secure and working.

2.3We do not need, and ask you not to send us through this website, sensitive personal data (such as information about health, religion or political opinions) or payment card details.

3How we use it, and on what basis

We use personal data only for the following purposes:

1. to read and answer your enquiry and to carry on the correspondence that follows from it. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and, where you ask about a possible order or engagement, on the need to take steps at your request before entering into a contract;
2. to keep a record of our correspondence with clients and prospective clients, in our legitimate interest in running our business;
3. to keep the website secure, prevent misuse and correct faults, in our legitimate interest in operating a safe website; and
4. to comply with our legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Ticking the box on the contact form confirms that you have read this policy and our Terms & Conditions. It is not the legal basis on which we process your data.

We do not sell personal data. We do not make decisions about you by automated means. We will not add you to a mailing list unless you have separately asked us to.

4Cookies

This website does not use cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools.

It stores one item in your browser’s session storage, which records that you have already seen the opening animation so that it does not play on every page. The item contains no personal data and is deleted when you close the browser tab.

If we introduce cookies or analytics, we will update this policy before doing so and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.

5Who we share it with

We share personal data only as follows:

1. within NRM, including our team in Dhaka, London and Montreal and Denim & Textile Sourcing Co., where needed to deal with your enquiry;
2. with the service providers that host this website and deliver form messages and email to us. They act only on our instructions and are bound by contract to keep the data confidential and secure;
3. where we are required to do so by law, or by a court or regulator, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others; and
4. with a buyer or successor if all or part of our business is sold or reorganised, on terms that protect your data to the standard set by this policy.

6International transfers

Our team works from three countries, and our service providers may store data in others. Your personal data may therefore be transferred to, and accessed from, Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, Canada and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

Where UK or EU data protection law applies and data is transferred to a country that has not been found to provide adequate protection, we put in place the safeguards that law requires, such as the EU standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

7How long we keep it

We do not keep a database of enquiries. A message sent through the contact form is delivered to us by email and kept only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry. If an enquiry does not lead to a business relationship, we delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed.

If you become a client or supplier, we keep our correspondence for as long as the relationship continues and afterwards for as long as the law requires or a legal claim could be brought.

Our hosting and email delivery providers keep short-lived technical records of requests and delivered messages, normally for no more than 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security incident.

8Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The website is served over an encrypted connection.

No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and email in particular may pass through systems outside our control. Please bear this in mind when deciding what to send us.

9Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

1. ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
2. ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
3. ask us to delete your data, or to restrict how we use it;
4. object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests; and
5. ask us to transfer data you have given us to you or to another organisation in a machine-readable form.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@nrm-lounge.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within one month.

If you are in the United Kingdom, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). If you are in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you may complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work. If you are in Canada, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca). We would be grateful for the chance to deal with your concern first.

10Children

This website is intended for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

11Other websites

This website links to services we do not operate, including WhatsApp. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it last changed shown at the top.
